1. What is Philadelphia Convention?
Ans: Philadelphia Convention took place at Philadelphia from 25th May'1787 to 17th Sept'1787 to address the problems in governing the United States of America, which had been operating under the Articles of Confederation following Independence from Great Britain. The result of the convention was the United States Constitution.
The framers of the Indian Constitution accepted the influence of the west in this respect. Bandit Jawaharlal Nehru, while moving the Objective Resolutions in the Indian Constituent Assembly referred to the Philadelphia Convention, the French experiment and the Russian Revolution as sources of inspiration.

These are composed by the learned Brahmanas(court poets), who occasionally helped in the administration.

Ans: Generally the kings and warriors belong to kshatriya but those who were not kshatriyas could become kshatriya by performing 'Hiranyagarbha' rituals. Hiranyagarbha(literally means the golden womb) was thought to lead the rebirth of the sacrificer as a kshatriya even if he was not one by birth. The Rashtrakuta ruler, Dantidurga in the 8th century overthrew his Chalukya overlord and performed this ritual to proclaim himself as a kshatriya ruler. So, it was not important to born as a kshatriya in order to become a ruler during those days.

Q: How Punjab got its name?
Ans: The word 'Punjab' means the Land of Five Rivers. It is the place where the Aryans first settled in India. At first the name of that place was Saptanada or the Land of Seven Rivers, namely, Sindhu, Vitasta, Chandrabhaga, Iravati, Bipasa, Satadru and Saraswati. Subsequently, Chandrabhaga and Saraswati dryed out in course of time leaving behind only five rivers in Punjab and called Panchanada or Punjab.
