Lake is a large water body which is surrounded within a body
of land. Lakes do not flow like rivers but many rivers flowing into and out of
it. Lakes act as a source of water for drinking, irrigation, navigation and for
livelihood. These are found in various landscapes like Plain areas, Plateaus,
Hilly areas etc.
